"The training was rigorous and very intense, extremely challenging and rewarding. The team at Metaphorics provided a new, exciting and inspiring way for us to continue to move our Teams forward. I would recommend the Metaphorics training to anyone interested in finding new solutions to the many and varied issues facing leaders today
Working with Metaphorics provides leaders with a refreshing and inspiring new approach to understanding the factors affecting their own performance, the performance of the teams in which they operate and the performance of the people they lead. Crucially this new understanding has changed the way leaders think and operate, impacting positively on their effectiveness".
Mark Melling (Head Teacher)
"A thoroughly enjoyable, inspirational and worthwhile course that was expertly presented. The practical tasks were extremely interesting and thought provoking. The course helped me to think more clearly about my role as a leader, and how to get the best out people to form a successful team. It was interesting to approach leadership and management from a different perspective. I would certainly recommend Metaphorics course and am now awaiting the next one"!
Martin Jelley (Head Teacher, Penwortham Primary School)
"The course focused on creating high performance teams, breaking down barriers to thinking and having the belief to take risks. Headteachers would learn from each other, share best practice and generate new ideas. Colleagues would have time to reflect on successes and strengths and would leave feeling inspired to make a change.
Much of the work revolved around using the sporting metaphor as a means of discussing schools and education, this technique not only removed any threat but also encouraged deeper more profound thinking. The ‘School Team Profile’ was an excellent self evaluation tool and different types of mental toughness were identified. Further work included identifying high and low performance within one’s own team at school and how to manage individuals to bring about change.
The day was absolutely superb. The considered opinion of all participants was that the course had been stimulating, thought provoking and inspirational. Many thought it the best INSET sessions they had ever experienced. Thoroughly recommended"!!
