Testimonials
“The HeadCoach training was
superb! Mark skilfully led us through the TGROW process
during the course, and demonstrated its relevance to
our work in schools. He gave us a full understanding
of the principles of coaching, building as ever on our
own strengths and personal experiences. The days enabled
us to build upon our existing knowledge of the coaching
process, and develop a much deeper understanding of
the practical tools and techniques found within coaching,
and their potential application to our situations as
school leaders. We were able, within the 'safety of
the group', to practice and improve our coaching skills
and abilities, firstly in a content-free situation,
and then incorporating our educational expertise. It
was stunning just how quickly we all improved as coaches,
and how we all found previously unthought-of solutions
to some of our problems in school. The training was
rigorous and very intense, extremely challenging and
rewarding. Mark provided a new, exciting and inspiring
way for us to continue to move our schools forward.
I would recommend the HeadCoach course to anyone interested
in finding new solutions to the many and varied issues
facing Head Teachers today.

“Having attended
the “Developing Mental Toughness” course
I can honestly say that this one of the most powerful
and effective leadership training sessions I have ever
attended. Although initially sceptical about the use
of sporting metaphors (as I have no sporting inkling
or background whatsoever), I was soon drawn into the
analogies and relevance of this approach which is used
for elite athletes and top sports teams. The content
of the training delved deep into underpinning values,
motivators and your inner confidence. Some parts of
the course made you examine yourself in a way that you
previously might have avoided or felt uncomfortable
about. Mark skilfully facilitates your development through
stages so that you take a 360 degree look at yourself
and are enabled to turn weaknesses into strengths in
maximising your potential and performance as a Headteacher.
This course was quite simply life changing. My husband
remarked on the difference in my attitude, perspective,
and approach to set backs and pressure almost immediately.
I cannot recommend the sports psychologists approach
enough – as a refreshing, relevant and timely
way to examine how to manage change and pressure and
yet develop high performance in education in a realistic
and inspirational way.”
